PBT can also withstand temperatures up to 150\u00b0C (or 200\u00b0C when reinforced with glass fibers). It is especially used in automotive under body parts. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High di-electricity and electrical resistance minimizes energy loss<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>in high frequency electronic applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It prevents UV radiation and thermal aging<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In addition, the properties of PBT include:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exceptional weather resistance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent thermal aging behavior<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Disadvantages:<\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>High mold shrinkage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Poor resistance to hydrolysis (sensitive to hot water)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prone to bending due to differential shrinkage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unreinforced PBT has low notched impact resistance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PBT Alloys<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PBT\/PC Blends: High toughness up to -40 \u00b0C, heat resistance up to 140 \u00b0C, improved weatherability,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>good UV resistance, high color retention.
